Mom and I had a great consult about documenting her Baby's first year in portraits. It's a unique time, and capturing the growth and huge changes through out will be priceless!
We plan to have sessions on and around those milestone months -
(Newborn),
4 months,
8 months
& then to celebrate 12 months, one full year, first birthday with a cake smash!
Over the course of each session, the plan is to create a First Year album collection with mom's favorite portraits from each session, along with a story board and gift prints for family and loved ones.
I photographed mom when she was pregnant, Mom knows that I am committed to preserving memories that can be seen, touched and felt everyday and each session comes complete with portraits and unique products that will live on her walls and in her hands. I believe so much in existing in prints. Nothing, absolutely nothing beats touching an album, or having beautiful portraits of family on your walls at home.
Now, this candid collection here with mom tells the story of baby's first time at my studio. We talked about the first year plan, scheduling sessions, what to expect and I introduced my self to her baby. Those images you see in the collage, are of when I was doing that. He was so curious, attentive and fascinated by the happenings of the studio. We kept it very simple. I find that simplicity is very my style and my moms appreciate it so very much.
The visit to talk and plan his first year photos, turned into moments of beautiful interaction between baby and mommy. I'm so happy we captured it!
Moms maternity photos were amazing! You can check them out here.
